Látni véljük a sarki jégsapkák olvadását napról napra. Látni véljük az ózonlyuk növekedését. Látni véljük minden magára hagyott nejlonzacskó végzetes hatását. Látni véljük, ahogy minden nap megdől egy korábbi rekord. És látni véljük, amint unokáink életfunkcióink következményeitől szenvednek.

The humankind can be described by pretentious ideological ideas and endless visions. Our knowledge and our visions are not restricted by our physical limit. We are mastering nature, our thoughts and the laws of physics. We are ruling each other and ourselves.

We think that we can perceive the melting of the icebergs and the extending of the Ozone Hole as well as the deadly consequences of each plastic bag and the setting up of new records every day. We think we can see as our grandchildren suff er the consequences of our lifestyle.

Despite of the fact that

None of people live on Earth today will be still alive in 100 years time

What makes us so arrogant? Might be our faith in the continuity of life?
